Slice of heaven in the hills above Redwood City 3/2017 – 7/2020

There is a slice of heaven in the hills above Redwood City that will relax your mind and inspire your soul. The views to the east reveal the beauty of the Bay. At night, the lights flicker as the gentle westerly winds blow through the hills.

This place … a place you can call home is nestled in Emerald Hills. It’s a fully furnished, beautifully situated modern studio with its own private parking, kitchen, bath, laundry and cable. It has a deck to enjoy the day with some delicious snacks or in the evening with wine and cheese. The views are spectacular, especially when the full moon rises in the eastern sky. It’s quiet. Comfortable. Clean.  A retreat to get away from the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley. A place to recharge your creative spirit, to dwell on new concepts and find solutions. A place to escape to among the Bonsai and citrus trees.

I found it for a short stay and ended up staying for 3 years. This isn’t a temporary stay but rather a place to rediscover the important things in life as one journeys forth on their path of discovery.

Constance 8/6/15-9/8/15 Great Rental!

 

The reviews on the rental sold us and they were every bit spot on. Our standards and expectations are high and each one was met and often exceeded. The studio was PERFECT ! We found it to be a fantastic place to call home for our month long stay in California. MaryAnn and Bill were great at communicating and always prompt in responding to questions and requests. It was definitely a winning VRBO find.

Richard W. 11/26/14-2/10/15 Peaceful Studio

 

Being away from home for business can be quite stressful. I was so happy to find this lovely apartment studio in the middle of the Peninsula area of California (on the door steps of Silicon Valley). I spent three and a half months there and found it to be a peaceful retreat I could call home. The neighborhood setting gave me a safe feeling you just can’t find staying in a hotel. Outstanding home away from home! 9/9/15-5/14/16 Christine C.

I recently stayed at the studio while I was in the midst of selling my own home and purchasing another. I can’t say enough about the quality, comfort, style and upkeep of the studio. It has been thoughtfully and impeccably designed to maximize the space and provide an efficient, comfortable and home-like setting. The furnishings — from appliances to electronics to bathroom surfaces — are top-quality. The location is fantastic: a quiet, safe, tree-filled suburban oasis that is easy commuting distance for someone like myself who works in San Francisco, yet also easily accessible to the rest of the Peninsula and all that it offers: shops, restaurants, outdoor and cultural activities, etc. I also can’t say enough great things about MaryAnn and Bill, who set the standard for gracious, responsive and thoughtful hosts. The studio was stocked not only with a bottle of wine and breakfast food, but also an extra toothbrush and a small bouquet of flowers. Fresh towels, a fully stocked kitchen and regular cleaning service were also included and much appreciated. They also provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere on their property — it was fun to see them at work in their gorgeous garden and say hello while we all went about our daily routines — while also providing privacy for someone like myself with a busy work and travel schedule. They ensured I had a wonderful stay — I really couldn’t ask for more!
